How we got here
Torque Capital Group was founded in 2009, in the aftermath of the financial crisis, to provide investment, support, and resources to lower middle-market manufacturing businesses. We saw the value in partnering with strong teams and providing flexible capital and resources to help guide businesses through unprecedented economic uncertainty.
Over fifteen years later, that conviction has only deepened. We've partnered with management teams and companies across transportation, mobility and aerospace & defense companies at inflection points. Always as trusted, strategic, people oriented, operationally focused partners, not passive capital.
Our model is deliberately concentrated. We invest in a handful of companies at a time so we can give each one the operational attention, patience, and collaboration that lower middle-market owners deserve.
